Smartphone vs Laptop on Weekend Trips (to London) - Episode #28

Are you traveling with your laptop everywhere? I am. And I use it very often to check my email, find local attractions, update facebook or Twitter... but I shouldn't where my iPhone (or any other Smartphone - Android, Blackberry) will do the job just as easily...

The only problem is typing on a smartphone is rather slow, even for uploading notes and ideas to the web, for example, with Evernote or Nozbe. Evernote allows for voice, but I don't like all the punctuation that has to be edited into the document.

What about excessive roaming charges for being in London vs. US?

That's true, typing on a smartphone is slower but if you're on a weekend and you're not a writer, it's good enough for basic email/browsing experience. At least for me it is :-)
